I am becoming very concerned that neither Liberals nor Conservatives are willing either to talk WITH each other, nor to understand each other. It is as if each side sits in their trenches and occasionally lobs explosives at the other side. In the meanwhile, America is being destroyed by the warfare. To villify one’s opponent, to declare the other side Evil, is to concede that your own side has no real argument, and that politics has become nothing but a war between religious fanatics, both of whom can only shour, “I’m right, You are wrong!”
Sorry, there were minor errors in this piece, please post what follows as it’s corrected! I saw a study that stated a large group of people can make better decisions than small groups of people. I truly believe we are going to have to start a system where everyone votes on issues via the Internet, or phone. Leaving life or death decisions in the hands of a few people who are so biased by the money they get from rich lobbyists is ruining America! “We the people” can do far better than “I the person”, who raped Lady Liberty and left us to raise her bastard child, crushing debt! If not our corrupt system will crash & burn making the burning & sacking of Rome look like a s’more party!
I loved the idea in theory…using a collaborative approach to defining two dynamic, political groups yet I’m concerned that this exercise has become “name-calling” and not really helpful at all.
