Scandinavians explain why people from countries like Norway don’t want to immigrate to America…
Many Americans, are convinced that we live in some kind of paradise. When just one trip outside the country to other first world countries proves us wrong.

My family and I were just over in the US on a holiday. We met so many wonderful people and saw some amazing places. This is however not enough for us to choose to move from Norway, and I will try to explain why we’d rather stay here. We were in America for three weeks. That is three of five paid weeks a year that we have a right to by law no matter what occupation we have.
Also, we rented a fairly new house while we were there. We were surprised to see the electrical appliances are like the ones we used in the 50s and 60s. Everything from the kitchen stove to the laundry machine, dryers, lighting, and heating. We had to change lightbulbs all over the house several times while we were there. It made the house feel like a time travel and not a very safe one either.
We spoke to a nice middle-aged man who was completely baffled when we said no one owns a handgun in Norway. Hunters have rifles, but by law, they have to lock them away to keep them out of easy reach. He said everyone should have a gun for protection. I asked “protection from what?”. Not even the police carry arms in Norway and when it was suggested to change the law so that they could carry at least a handgun it was voted down. We don’t like or want guns around.
Then there is the matter of your current president. A country that contains enough voters who think it is A-okay to make a president of a guy like him is not a good place to be for Norwegians. Most of us think…
